UCV at Voice Foundation

UCV team members presented new research at the 2021 Voice Foundation Annual Symposium: Care of the Professional Voice. Regularly held each year in Philadelphia, this year's "50th anniversary" symposium was held virtually on June 2nd through 6th. 

UCV Director of Research Dr. Ingo Titze was an invited keynote speaker, delivering a presentation titled "On Vocal Loudness." UCV Research Scientist Dr. Anil Palaparthi gave a podium presentation along with Dr. Rishi Alluri and Dr. Titze titled "Computational Neuromuscular Control of Intrinsic Laryngeal Muscles for Voice Production," and UCV Research Associate Dr. Brian Manternach and Associate Director Dr. Lynn Maxfield gave a podium presentation titled "Acoustic and Perceptual Qualities of Music Theater Mix in Four Professional Singers."

The symposium was a joint event with Collegium Medicorum Theatri (CoMeT), which held special sessions on Wednesday, June 2nd. During the CoMeT portion, Dr. Titze gave an additional presentation titled "Maximum Aerodynamic and Acoustic Power Transfer from The Glottis to the Vocal Tract."
